It is winter and most of the wetland is frozen over but where there is some open water it is quickly filled with ducks and geese. This Mallard couple were taking advantage of the mild winter day, feeding and taking baths. It is late afternoon and the sun was moving down but they swam into the sunshine which really shows off their color.
