Heron Haven is covered with the yearly Wood Duck crop.. The males don't yet have all their color and plumage but they are well on their way. All over the ponds there are grouping of male and female together which I assume is because they are from the same hatching. A few more months and they well be off by themselves. In this cove the late afternoon sun was just catching the front grouping.
