This seems to be a year for Cormorants in the Midwest. On this afternoon with a light mist I was happy to see two Cormorants on the log. Then somewhere another showed up and now there were three Cormorants! There are plenty of places where these guys could have perched but they always seem to like this one log that is resting just behind some brush. There are a lot of fine branches that will mess up the focus. With all the branches and a heavy overcast with a light mist, I was happy with this one photo. Maybe they will show up again on a nice sunny day and in front of the branches.
