The VOLERIE DES AIGLES is a raptor conservation and reproduction centre at an old castle in Kintzheim, in the Alsace region in France. Although we usually don't visit birds and wildlife in captivity, we made an exception for this centre when it was recommended to us by locals. When there is no public around the birds live in freedom. The raptor and owl shows are truly spectacular: very informative and with very close-up encounters!

We feel this centre does a great job in educating the public, so hopefully more and more people are aware of the importance of protecting and restoring the endangered birds' natural habitat.
