November 12, 2025 shipped the lens back to Canon to repair a broken Spherical Aberration Control Ring lock switch. Repair ID CA173221-RNJ20657 Cost $343.20

November 17, 2025 Canon USA notified me that my lens is repaired and has been shipped.
Your product has been examined and it was found that the SA Control lock did not operate properly causing the unit to function improperly. The external barrel assembly was replaced. The lens was adjusted best focus with standard camera/ centering/ Checked/ Cleaned/ Lubrication. Product functions were confirmed. Pervious Serial Number # 0510001407 and New Serial Number # 9700000069 due to external barrel assembly replacement.
