I just had a Scam Fake Alert lock up my computer. I could not close the browser window and right-clicks were disabled. I turned off my computer and restarted it and ran Malwarebytes and Malwarebytes AdwCleaner. I found 2 PUP's (Potentially Unwanted Programs) and removed them.

Although the scam has been around for a while, computer viruses keep getting more & more sophisticated. An odd warning screen - asking for your user name and password - should be a definite clue that something is not legitimate. Good thinking to get a photo!!! It makes an interesting PAD.
