My Canon EOS 1Dx shutter was starting to show signs of shutter bounce. It had about 352,000 shutter counts. The shutter is rated for 400,000 counts. I dropped it off to Canon on July 27, 2017.

After a week I checked the status of the repair online August 4, 2017 and all it said was that they are in the process of examining the product and to check back later. I called Canon and they had to order a new shutter from Canon. She said they expect to receive the replacement shutter by August 8, 2017.

Hopefully I should have it back before the Eclipse.
