Following part of the same route as the Glacier express, we climbed the Julier Pass where the cloud cover was quite low. Once over the Pass we had good views of the mountains and valleys until we reached Lichtenstein, the highlight of which was goulash soup at the Old Castle Hotel. Then on to Lucerne via the shores of Waldensee. We took the ride to the top of Pilatus, but the cloud cover restricted the views to the gondola in front and cows below. After returning to and spending some time in the city of Lucerne, our European trip was over.
