Family History: Descendants and Families of Charlotte Carr and Gilbert Halsall

Charlotte Carr (1836-1911)and Gilbert Halsall married in 1855 in England, and arrived in Australia in 1859, finally selecting land at Creighton, Victoria in 1876. They had 8 children, Peter, Mark, Sam, Alf, Gilbert, Charlotte, Erskine and Arthur. My grandfather Frank Halsall was the grandson of Gilbert and Charlotte's firstborn, Peter.
Eleanor Agnes McDonagh married Frank Halsall in 1913 in Maryborough. They had one child - Jean Halsall, my mother.

I would be interested to hear from anyone looking at Halsall with a manx connection. My grandmother was Sarah R Halsall and we have traced the family back to Malew, Isle of Man about 1800 so far, though the name was imported from England probably in the 16th century by the Stanleys (Lord Derby).

I came across this website because I have an old photo of some relatives and the name on the back was Muntz Studio Malvern Sadly no date but the pic is of two young ladies holding a newspaper? They are dressed in white tiered frocks with white shoes. I would think it is early 1900's

Gilbert Halsall (1832) is half-cousin to my great great grandfather Thomas Halsall (1838), and a 5th cousin to Thomas's wife Margery (1839, also a Halsall !)

Gilbert Halsall born 1832 was my granddads granddads brother. I was born in Southport which is about 20 miles away. My aunty still lives there.
