Sharon, this is inspired. I'd love to be around your house when you are thinking up these wonderful, crazy images. Lovely to see a mermaid wearing glasses too. V
Boy, you're amazing, my friend!! Do you know what I said when I read your comments about how you made this image? "Now why couldn't I have thought of that???!!!"LOL shu (BTW, many congrats on your outstanding winning image today, Sharon!) The ladies have been taking the prize lately. Let's see what you come up with for the next challenge!
Thanks, Keith! Yes, it is my idea. I was trying to come up with something for the Odd Juxtapositions challenge and thought this would be fun. I am sure someone else has done this before but I hadn't seen an image, at least not that I can remember. ~Sharon
Thanks, Armin! Well, you know that when you look through a bowl of water everything on the other side is upside down? So I put a tall stool about 6 feet away from the bowl which got me down to about the right size, covered the legs with white paper so they wouldn't show and leaned over backwards over it. My hair hung down and I made swimming motions with my hands. The remote is in one hand, that was the hardest part, trying to get the remote to connect with the camera while I was upside down! A little of the usual photoshop stuff to clean it up and there you go, a mermaid! It occurs to me that maybe something other than a wool sweater would be good if shot another time but it is cold in New England and that is what I was wearing at the time! Thanks for asking! ~Sharon
