Etosha translated as the "Great White Place". It covers about 22912km and the pan itself is approximately about 6133km. The roads are all navigable in a 2WD car and the park was designed for visitors to drive themselves around. About 340 species of birds have been recorded in Etosha which means about 50% of birds species in Namibia were found here. The park provides comfortable and affordable chalets in their camps. Visitors can stay safely in a designated area to watch animals coming and going to the waterholes to drink water. Waterholes in the camps are strategically located at the western side and colour of sunset is surprisingly dazzling.
