Mr Happy was the resident harbor seal at Sunset Marine Resort in Sequim WA.
He would sun himself on a paddle board tied up to a buoy in the bay at the resort.The Board was his home.He seemed so pleased to sun himself on the board, that people called him "Mr Happy". The board was his happy home.
On Memorial day weekend 3 orcas, two adults and a juvenile came into the bay. Many people saw the orcas hunting in the bay.
The board that was Mr Happy's home floated to shore, its rope torn jagged and broken.
Mr Happy has been missing ever since.
I presume that the Orcas got him. But, there is a bright side to this story. A juvenile orca got to eat its first Happy Meal.
