Banana plantations in Costa Rica have endless network of rails with chains stretched through the passages between the trees. As bananas are very heavy ( about 25-30 kg ), they need to be transported to the processing plant while being suspended, to avoid the damage to the fruit. So, when visiting, one could see guys running in front of the bananas trains and pulling them through the chain towards processing plant. These people are barely making $200 in the month while living in the country where prices on everything are just as high as in North America...
