This medium bodied, light red dry wine comes from Sonoma Valley, California and is pretty pricey at $23 CND. Nose is very elegant with dominant aroma of oak and wild roses. It's pretty spicy and has very interesting character with strong accents of dried plums and raisins mixed with light touch of cinnamon. Nevertheless, unless you're real fan of California wines, it's certainly not worth of this money, you can find far better wines within this price range. That day it went incredibly well with popato gratinee loaded with wild mushrooms and chieves, and guinea fowl stuffed with wallnuts, holy macro ! Pussi was enthusiastic from beginning, but then his exitment faded out when we told him about the price...
