Most of the pictures were taken in and around Kameari, Katsushika-ku, in North-Easten Tokyo. As Tokyo is situated at aproximately the same latitude as Tunis in Northern Africa, snow is a rather rare event. But if it does, as on this day in February 1994, when most of the pics in this gallery were taken, snowfalls can be very heavy and paralyze most of the transport system.
