During an excursion to the Slovak-Ukrainian border came across a Christian cementery, quite at a distance from the next village (see geo-tag for exact position), which by itself would not be something perculiar. But then I noticed a couple of Jewish tombstones in the forest (or rather coppice) next to it, which quite obvioulsy had not been maintained for decades. I stopped to take some pictures, and found out that recently someone had started to restore the inscriptions. This is a very commendable work, as it preserves the memory of a past which too many would prefer to forget.
