Alien

Hinterstoder, Upper Austria

It took so long to take this image. This is the cast-off skin of a spider (probably Pisaura mirabilis), which was hanging on a strand. Even the slightest touch of wind would move it. And whenever I tried to push the shutter, it moved again and slipped out of the finder. Well, after some 15 minutes in a very uncomfortable position and many many tries, this was the result.
