Fast food

Vienna, Austria

My entry to Thursday's Informal Transglobal Fun-Challenge "Something foody". See the links to other participants in the forum.
When I first came to Berlin in the 1980ies, I was surprised to find many kebab shops there, something completely unknown in Vienna at that time. It took another couple of years until a few kebab stands and restaurants appeared, but today it is easier to find a kebab restaurant than a traditional Austrian restaurant. Also other kinds of fast food shops (two of which can be seen in the reflections) have spread in Vienna with breathtaking speed. Although I get me a kebab sandwich for lunch from time to time, I personally prefer "slow food".

The reflected landscape is filled with choices of things to eat.
That may be why the waist-band of the average pair of trousers (here in the U.S.) are filled to.
Great image for this challenge.

I bet I eat all my food faster then Dan. So no "slow food" for me. Fast is always good. Great see through shot.
Dan Chusid16-Nov-2006 15:07
I tend to eat my slow food fast!
So many choices, so little time.

Great reflections with commentary--slow versus fast food.

Excellent - multicoloured urban chaos! My kind of shot!
Sheila16-Nov-2006 13:12
Excellent. Two for the price of one.
I prefer slow food too, especially if I don't have to cook it.
