Walking the dog

Vienna. Austria

My entry to the Tranasglobal Thursday Fun-Challenge "Breaking the (compositorial) rules". This is a great topic, and I would have had quite a number of potential entries. There is one genre of photography, which has the conscious neglect of all traditional photographic rules as its main principle, namely Lomography (and also Holgagraphy, if there is such a word). I used to have a LOMO and I loved the pics it took, but unfortunately it was too unreliable. Often, from a 24 exposures film, only two or three images were usable (all the others being completely black. So I abandoned it, but still I am searching to reproduce this aestheic with a digital SLR. This image is one attempt, a very deep hip shot (rather a knee shot, so to say), unfocused.

I agree with Lawrence. This shot look like from another world really. Cropped limbs, blurry... Still a great mood.

I like this one as well. Lawrence sums it up pretty well. Very well done.

that's a great shot, in my opinion...the odd composition gets it working...

very cool shot - perfect timing!

Besides the rule breaking composition, the out of focus foreground with the toning really gives a feel of early photography.

Great one - I'd have definitely thought it was a Lomo or similar had I not seen your comment.

There MAY be a few broken rules here, but this shot is still worth a thousand words.

Chaotic perfection! I love this shot. Unforgivably busy foreground, confusing subjects, out of focus... and i love it :). This is like a shot from another world. It's an image I wish I had taken.
