Franz West is one of Austria's internationally most successful artists. He created this and three other "lemur heads" for a big exhibition in the Vienna Museum for Applied Arts (MAK)in 2002. They are exposed very prominently on the bridge over the Wien river between MAK and Hotel Hilton. In the beginning, they were pure white, but meanwhile they have acquired some patina.
