As Typhoon No. 8 arrived at Naha about the same time as we did, we had an unexpectedly long stay in the city because for three and a half days no plane was flying to our final desitation Ishigaki Island. Thankfully, Typhon No. 9 decided to take a more northern route, because a second typhoon would probably have spoiled our travel plans completely...
