Erich Novoszel (*1955) is an Austrian artist with Croat roots, who studied at the Vienna University for Applied Arts and at the Tokyo University of Fine Arts (Geidai). Mainly a painter, he started to make room installations in 1993. For this particular project, realized in September and October 2000, he was able to use a whole house, that was already designated for demolition. He created installations in several rooms, a.o. using materials. which the former tenants left when they had to move out.
