Siena

Siena is about 45 minutes from Montalcino and is lovely city with a spectacular Duomo and with perhaps the most impressive center square in Italy, Piazza del Campo. The Piazza is home to the famous Palio, a horse race that takes place twice a year around the outer edges of the Piazza.
