We flew from Shannon to Edinburg and stayed 2 nights. We rode the hop-on-hop-off bus and saw Edinburgh castle (in rain and fog). We also saw the Queen's retired yacht and took a tour of it. Next we went to Gleneagles where Mike and Ed played the Ryder Cup Course. A lovely layout with some nice views. We stayed at Dalmunzie Castle in the Highlands, our third and last castle of the trip. We drove through the Highlands and along Loch Ness, stopping at the ruins of Urquhart Castle. Next, to the Isle of Skye where we stayed at the Broadford Hotel. The next morning we went back to Eilean Donan Castle and caught high tide before the tourists descended...great view. overnight at Portree with a boat tour of the harbor. Back to the mainland via ferry to stay at the Knipoch Hotel near Oban.
