Rotorua is a tourist area with streets lined with motels. Not many big chains or high-rises here. We took a tour that stopped first at Te Puia, home of geysers and hot-pots similar to Yellowstone. Next we went to the Agrodome for a sheep-shearing demo. the most interesting part was the parade of 15 or so varieties of sheep, all in need of shearing. Finally, we went to the Rainbow Springs Nature Park. There are Kiwi at the park but, while able to spot one or two, impossible to get a photo.
