We flew to Venice via Frankfurt and then took a water taxi to Campo Santa Maria Formosa. We stayed in the Palazzo Vitturi right on the Campo. We wandered the winding streets, saw the Rialto, St, Marks and other main attractions. Thanks to Megan and Matt, we got off the beaten track and saw more of Venice than ever. Our favorite was the cicchetti tour, stops at small wine bars for small appetizer plates with a glass of wine. We dined well and often.
