Lillian's great-grandmother, Mary Sonne, was born and raised on the Danish island of Bornholm and we were fortunate to visit there after Montenegro and before our cruise. Thanks to Mike and Jan Johnson, we were able to meet their friends from Sweden, Håkan and Inger Branje. Håkan and Inger found a researcher, Annette, who developed information on Mary Sonne. Håkan and Inger then went to Bornholm and traveled with Annette to the various places where Mary grew up. To start our trip, we stayed in Malmo for 2 nights. On our first night, we had dinner at the home of Anna and Daniel, Hokan and Inger's daughter. One day, we went to the South of Sweden to Ale's Stones, a collection of large stones, not unlike Stonehenge, but shaped like a ship. We also visited the southern-most point in Sweden. The next day, we took the ferry from Ystad, Sweden to Ronne, Bornholm.
