Born in Sao Paulo, Edson started to watch birds at an early age on his grandfather’s farm. He has been a professional bird photographer since 1995, specializing in rare, threatened or little known species. He started his career as a birding tour guide in 2000 and, since then, has been leading tours for birders from all over the world. Edson has successfully published eighteen photographic books of birds of various regions of Brazil. With more than twenty years’ experience, he has an intimate knowledge of the best and most hidden areas of this wonderful bird rich country.
