Friday was Zoo Parents Day and the St. Louis Zoo was open after hours for Members who participated in the Animal Adoption Program. For this limited group we were allowed to stay and enjoy until 7:30 PM.
For me and my daughter, this was our first visit in three years!
At the beginning of Covid the Children's Zoo was shut out of concern for close contact between people and animals. That area reopened as an "adventure" featuring full size animatronic dinosaurs.
Then we took a walk through "River's Edge." Most of that is still open, with good animal viewing without full contact. Raja the sole male Asian elephant should be turning 32 years old this December.
On this brief visit of a few hours to the Zoo we did not have much time for more walking and headed home near sunset.
I was carrying a Pentax K110 D digital body and 18 - 55mm lens.
Great photos!! The dinosaur display must be fairly new as it wasn't there when we went!!

Really like the dinosaur 🦕 display as a twist from the animals from our era! Always love ❤️ seeing my elephants 🐘. Thank you. Good to see you out and about with Pamela!
