A hot summer day at the St. Louis Zoo, early in the day before it got even hotter...

Camera body was a Pentax K100 D, digital SLR, purchased very reasonably due to broken autofocus system.
So, I just need to focus manually. Electronic focus confirmation indicators still work.
Lens was the common 18 - 55 zoom.

All is hand held, and available light.

I learned today that sea lions usually swim upside down when under water.
