I dropped her off for a long appointment today and had some time so I made a little visit to the Museum of Transportation.
It was only in the 80's but it felt oppressive, like as if we were suddenly in July instead of May. And the sun felt very intense.
We are not quite used to it yet.

I was carrying my latest Pentax ist D body with an 18-55mm lens. The auto focus on this body continues to be temperamental. I had an easier time with manual focus, and the "focus confirmation" system was still operative.
I was happy with the results.

All was hand held in available light. In the dark of the upper train shed and in the automotive building I cranked the ASA setting up to 3200. In my opinion the photos did not suffer so much as a result.
