Sycamores With Film

When I tested out that cheap little 3.1 megapixel digital camera, see
https://pbase.com/edkowalski/cheapdigital
I also had a decent film camera with me, a Sears/Ricoh KS Super, loaded with Konica Minolta Centuria 200 print film. Lenses were a Sears f:1.4/50mm and a Cosina 19 - 35mm wide angle zoom.
Some of the same subjects were shot side by side with the different media tools, for comparison.
The blues were recorded much better with the film rather than the digital sensor in my opinion.
And the film negatives are very sharp and clear, much more than can be seen here... the images below were resized to lower resolution for internet. And working with the digitized film files, I was able to pull out a lot more sharpness and detail, but drew back, balancing detail against increased noise and digital artifact.
Aloe plant is in my living room.
