Joyce had noticed some tiny little fungi tucked into the roots and moss behind our shed.
This evening after dinner shortly before sundown I went back there with my Pentax ist D with an 18 - 55 zoom lens to record them.
ASA was set to 1600, and I was shooting at f:5.6 and f:8 at about 1/20 to 1/60 of a second, down on my knees hand held. Lens was at the macro end, and I moved in for closest possible focus, just a few inches away. The largest of these fungi is less than a half inch tall. That is moss in the photos, not ferns.
I then switched to ASA 800 and caught a few flowers in her garden. Tricky, the light was low and the wind was blowing with gusts.
I only had one shot at the bee, and I kind of missed the focus.
