Minolta SRT-101 and Caffenol

I consider this camera a true classic among 35mm SLR's. Introduced in 1966, it is quite solidly built and robust, with some great features for its time. The viewfinder is big and bright, with the "stick and paddle" type metering readily visible even in low light. And even after all these years, after minor adjustment this one is very accurate in its match needle metering.
Coupled with the somewhat newer f:1.2 / 50mm lens (a terrific flea market find some years ago at $25.00!) it makes for a formidable image making outfit.

So, two weeks ago I loaded it up with an expired date roll of Fujicolor Superia 200 film and took it through its paces.

Camera and lens behaved wonderfully.

Beginning of roll was exposed in "Old Town" Fenton, Missouri, and finished off at the National Museum of Transportation. All was hand held and with available light.

I developed the filmstrip here at home in my Caffenol developing recipe, using safe household ingredients.
