Samoca M-35

I recently acquired this Samoca M-35, late 1950s from Japan, a few years earlier model than the Samoca LE-II of 1960.
The M-35 had no exposure meter. Another difference is the two stroke advance! Camera needed serious work when I got it. Shutter was not working, and rangefinder frozen. I got the shutter running, but screws are so tight I can't get into the top without destroying fasteners. But then, rangefinder is just an "aid."

For my test roll, I loaded up a roll of ASA 200 print film and started at the Museum of Transportation, then down the hill to the Meramec in Valley Park to finish the film.
This was Thanksgiving weekend.
Film went to Dwayne's in Parsons, Kansas, for processing.

This set is all hand held with available light.
