Red Pentax with Color-Skopar and Xenar at Fenton Greenway
I wanted to play one more time with the Chinese DKY - PK lens adapter before setting it aside, so I tried it with a couple of other old lenses today.
The Color-Skopar 50mm came off my Voigtlander Bessamatic, and the Xenar 135mm was made for the Kodak Retina Reflex series of cameras.
Both lenses are high precision for their day..
I got out my red Pentax KX body, installed the adapter, and headed down to the Meramec River.
Mini Ha Ha Park in Sunset Hills suffered massive flooding this year, and the park is still gated and closed to visitors.
So I parked on the Old Town Fenton side under the bridge and walked a bit of the Fenton Greenway.
This park was also under deep flood water for a long period of time, but is showing signs of recovery.
Heavy silt deposits are still evident in places.
The weather was warm with a heavy overcast.
The adapter allows the lenses to attach to the camera body, but there are no other couplings, so aperture and focus must be set manually. Camera body was set to Aperture Priority Mode. I found that I had to dial in two extra stops for exposures to be acceptable with this rig.
Everything was shot hand held, bracketing to vary speed and depth of field.
