Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day

Yesterday I glanced at my calendar and realized that TODAY was the Day!
The worldwide event always occurs the last Sunday in April.

I did not have much time to prepare, so this year I captured a series of pinhole images digitally, rather than on film.
By definition, "pinhole photography" means that there is no lens as such, no glass, involved in capturing the image. There is nothing between the subject and the image surface other than a tiny empty hole in an opaque piece of material.

This time I used a pinhole I constructed that is 0.3 mm in diameter in a small piece of aluminum, and mounted into a T Mount adapter ring for a Pentax SLR camera body.
I put it at the front of a 36 mm tube extension, bringing the focal length when on the camera to about 84 mm. That yields an f/stop of about f/280.
The auxiliary finder at the top of the camera body was added since with the pinhole nothing much more than total darkness can be seen through the regular viewfinder, and I wanted to be able to aim at the subjects.
The ASA setting of the camera was cranked up to 3200 to help shorten exposure times. Indoor images were in the neighborhood of 5 to 12 seconds, outdoor exposure times were a second or less.

These may not be the best pinhole photos I have done, but I at least I made a good effort.
