Phoenix P-1 at Missouri Botanical Gardens

I paid 99 cents for this camera body in an online auction.
After a little cleaning, it was near perfect, with everything working as it should.
The Phoenix P-1 has a completely mechanical film transport and shutter, and can function without batteries. Shutter is vertical running metal blades at film plane, speeds from 1 second to 1/2000. Metering is with three colored diodes in viewfinder. With batteries installed, and all three diodes lit up green, you are at average exposure. Values are adjusted by manually changing lens aperture and shutter speed.
Body is very light, an easy carry.
Best of all, camera has P/K mount for Pentax Bayonet compatible lenses.

I installed a lens I have had for some time, labeled Exakta f:1.9 / 50mm. It is the only P/K mount lens I have ever seen labeled as Exakta.

Wednesday I loaded a roll of Fuji 200 film and headed in to the Missouri Botanical Gardens in St. Louis.
It was a beautiful day for a camera test, blue skies and just a little brisk when the wind gusted.
Certainly not bad for a January day.
The equipment worked just fine.
