Last week I went to the "bay" and bought a lens, as a Buy It Now, that I have ALWAYS wanted, the Pentax SMC-M f:2.8/40mm "pancake" lens, possibly the most compact lens ever made for a 35mm SLR in the old days.
Mounted to this Pentax K110 D, it makes a nice easy to carry combo. It is not an "A" lens, having no extra contacts in the mount to communicate f:stop settings, so with the digital body it must be shot either wide open at f:2.8, or in Manual mode, re-calculating exposure values when shot at smaller apertures.
I gave it a test here at home.
Janice, I have five feeders up, but no birdhouses. I try to keep some areas natural and safe, and the birds seem pretty good to making their own nesting homes.

Your purple is so vibrant! Love your flowers and trees. How many birdhouses do you have?? What kinds of birds live in them??
