Orchid Show and Missouri Botanical Garden 02/02/2020
Between winter storms, yesterday our temperature shot up to 70 F. Groundhog Day for sure, but also the second day for the annual Orchid Show in St. Louis.
I found a parking space near the far corner about midday, armed with a Pentax K10 D sporting a Tamron 28-105mm zoom lens, 1:4-5.6 (F).
Every year I am reminded of how difficult it is to get great photos of orchids. They look great in the finder and on the preview screen, but often not so good at home on the computer screen.
The Orchid Society outdid themselves, the decor to go with the orchids was the best I have ever seen, the theme South American rain forest and indigenous people.
Below, the best I think of what I captured.
After seeing the orchids I ventured out into a beautiful day to walk a portion of the Missouri Botanical Gardens.
What a day to be out ! Yes, the orchids are gorgeous.

The white orchids were absolutely stunning! First pic looked like a comical green face to me. So much work went into the native displays. It was a gorgeous day!
