Orchid Show 2019

We finally had the opportunity to view this year's Orchid Show at Missouri Botanical Garden.
It was extremely cold for a March day, but the Orchid Show is a snug indoor venue.

After our visit to the orchid displays, Joyce went to the gift shop while I took a brisk walk outside in the gardens. The sun was bright, but it did not warm me any, and after a short while I was forced back inside from the wind chill.

Camera was a Pentax K10 D with an 18 - 55 mm lens.

How gorgeous they are especially the purple! Reminds me of how Tata would buy an orchid for mom and then me for Easter.

Love the orchids - so beautiful. You can see that winter still has more to give us in the outdoor shots.

Hi Ed. I've done many paintings of orchids based on photos from previous MBG orchid shows. My husband and I are going to the orchid show this evening.
