Olympus XA at Museum of Transportation

The XA is from a line of Olympus 35mm cameras that are about as compact as they can be. This model features true rangefinder focusing and an aperture priority auto exposure system.

On a beautiful transitional weather day at the end of February I loaded this one with a roll of Kodak 200 print film and made a brief visit to the National Museum of Transportation in suburban St. Louis. Note the lingering patches of snow and sleet in areas in relative shade.

I rated the film @ ASA 100 because I planned to develop it myself using my Caffenol chemistry recipe. Caffenol uses common safe household ingredients and renders all films in a monotone. I add the sepia tint later with software after scanning the negatives.
