Olympus Infinity Stylus Zoom at Rockford Beach

I first film tested this little camera a few weeks ago in Belleville, Illinois.
The results showed crisp images with an annoying light leak.
Here is a link to the gallery from that test:

After making some attempts to plug the light leakage, I decided to test it again.

Tuesday was a beautiful day, temperatures into the 50s and sun. So I loaded the camera with some Kodak ASA 200 and went down to Rockford Beach on Big River near House Springs, MO.
River was still running strong after recent rains and snows. There was evidence of flooding on the grounds, but water had subsided to below flood stage.

In the resulting images, the old light leak was gone... but the repairs had introduced new leakage, in a different area of the filmstrip, more annoying than the old!

Have not decided whether to pursue this anymore, or retire the little camera to the shelf to stay.
By the way, I have tested a fair number of examples of this exact model of Olympus, and all have shown light leakage around the film door.
