Nikkormat FT2 and Caffenol

The Nikkormat FT2, introduced in 1965, was a venerable addition to the Nikon line. It was rugged and capable, with a lens mount that accepted most Nikon lens offerings of the day.
I have a fairly clean example that is still fully functioning, missing only one of the two strap lugs. The one lug is sufficient for carrying.

This cold January I loaded in a roll of Fuji 200 color print film, which I rated at ASA 50 in anticipation of developing in Caffenol chemistry, and exposed the film with a variety of subjects.

Maybe it was having the film (past date) a little too long out of the freezer, maybe it was challenging lighting conditions, but the resulting exposed filmstrip was a little difficult to scan and to work with after developing. The developing process was exactly as I have been doing. With some effort I was able to tweak 24 images.

Caffenol uses all safe household ingredients for chemistry and treats color film as monochrome. I add the sepia tone in software, because I like it.

Subjects were either at home, or along the lower Meramec River near Gravois Road.
