Natrona PA, Agfa Solina, and Caffenol

The town:
Natrona, Pennsylvania, was founded circa 1848 by businessmen, and populated mainly by European immigrants.
It thrived at its peak during the first 2/3 of the 20th Century.
I was born there in 1950, and left in the 1960's.
Nearly all of the business is gone today, while many residents strive to maintain and restore.

The camera:
Agfa Solina, 1960, for 35mm film. Relatively simple and an easy carry, with the essentials of focusing lens, variable apertures, and a usable range of shutter speeds. It did well for its simplicity. The viewfinder is big and bright, but not especially accurate.

The process:
We were having a little family reunion a few days after July 4. I went for a walk with my older sister and my daughter to check out what Natrona looks like today.
I saved the exposed film (Kodak 400 print film, rated @ ASA 200) until returning here to Missouri, and then developed the film myself with my Caffenol recipe.
