Adventures at Home with Pentax MV and Caffenol

The camera is a good one, and I tested it for exposure accuracy before loading.
The conditions were very good for photography.
The Caffenol recipe and procedures were the same tried and true that I have been using for some time now.
The film was Fujicolor Superia 200.
But when the filmstrip came out of the tank after the last rinse, the results were mostly poor.
The emulsion side looked very weak, almost blank, underexposed.
The problem had to most likely have been with the film itself, from a big lot of unknown origins that I won at auction.

My Epson Perfection transparency scanner went to work, and did some magic in pulling out the traces of detail on the filmstrip, practically invisible to the naked eye. It was enough for me to go to work in my favorite editing software.
So, here are the results.

When I try to shoot with the next roll of Fuji from that lot, I will probably increase exposure values, treating it as ASA 100 or lower.

In case you do not know, developing film with coffee, Vitamin C, and washing soda for safe chemistry treats color film emulsions as monochrome. The sepia tone was added by me in software, because I like the look.
