Micronta V35 at Museum of Transportation

The Micronta V35 is a solidly built little camera. It was made in Hong Kong in 1959. At a mere 4.5 inches wide it weighs in at 1 pound and 2.5 ounces. There is enough chrome in it to maybe build an old Buick. At that, it feels really good in the hand, well balanced and stable.
The same camera was also marketed with different names stamped into the top.

I loaded up with a roll of Fujicolor 200 and went to visit the old trains (and a few steam rollers).
Developing was at home in Caffenol.
Results were a bit disappointing. Images on the filmstrip were faint and hard to elicit with my Epson scanner.
Why? I have some thoughts on that.
The film was old and out of date.
Fuji film compared to Kodak seems thinner in stock and prone to curl. I had trouble in the dark bag getting it to spool correctly for the tank with possible damage to the emulsion side.
The marked f_stops on the camera might not be accurate. Shutter speeds were not a problem since I tested them electronically before shooting.
And the instant coffee crystals may have been an issue. It was a different brand than my usual and freshly opened. It had the appearance of being weaker than the usual when mixed with water.

Anyway, here is what I teased out of the film.
