Lower Meramec Valley with Argus Model A

This example of Argus Model A is the lowest serial number with double film sprockets in my collection, S/N 95973. It's a recent acquisition.
Camera cleaned up pretty nice. I did have to replace the foam film cartridge cushion and pressure plate foam mounting strips in the back.
Camera features two-position focus (for close and far); uncoated (prewar) three element lens; shutter speeds of 25, 50, 100, 200, T, B; and apertures marked 11, 8, 5.6, and 4.5.
Has tripod socket, aluminum takeup spool, double aluminum sprockets.

Camera was begging for a film test, so I loaded with Kodak asa 200 and headed down to oldtown Fenton, the beach in Sunset Hills, and the river access in Valley Park.
We are now transitioning from Fall into Winter, and it was bitterly cold, very crisp.
Water levels continue unusually low on the Meramec.

I think the camera did a remarkable job for such a simple camera that is some 75 years old.
