Light Leak Test Again and Backyard
I did one more repair job on that pesky little Olympus Stylus Infinity Zoom 35 - 70 camera, and a final test today, without leaving my own yard.
A little additional foam was added across the top of the body's door frame. Then I loaded up with generic ASA 400 (fast film, for a better test), took it outside in bright sun. Tried to aim the camera door seams as much as possible toward the sun, ran off the roll, mostly with just the camera's regular baffling and the little extra foam, and a few frames with an extra piece of black tape over the upper door seam.
The black tape did not matter, the foam did quite well. I was only able to coax a leak at two spots on the filmstrip, by pushing and prodding with full sun falling on the camera. And one of those leak points was at the bottom seam, rather than top... and that one was the only one reaching the image area, see the photo with red streaks below.
So this camera is ready for action on my travels, I think, when packing ultralite.
By the way, our trees have been subjected to very heavy stress this past year, between the severe windstorms of last summer, the heavy ice storms of the winter, and the four nights of hard freeze recently after warm weather and appearance of new leaves. I do hope my green ash makes it, but I saw today that there is hope.

Nice pictures, and best wishes for your trees, Ed. I agonize over mine when the bad weather comes.

Very good Ed. You have much more patience than I. Nice picture of the
bird feeders. You must have a lot of feathered visitors to your home.
