Kennywood Park Pittsburgh July 2022

Kennywood is the last remaining old "Trolley Park" in Pittsburgh, open to visitors since the late 1890's. I have been visiting there with my family since I was a kid in the early 1950's.
Last week I had the good fortune to spend the day at Kennywood with my sister and my daughter It was time so well spent.

Kennywood sits on a high bluff overlooking the Monongahela River on the Southeastern fringe of Pittsburgh. The Borough of Braddock is across the river down there, visible from the 100 year old plus Train Ride . The steel mill complex is the Edgar Thompson Works, founded by Andrew Carnegie.

Kennywood now has at least 6 first class roller coasters, including three old classic wooden coasters. We did not ride them this visit.

The ViviCam F128 was the perfect camera for the day. It is not the most sophisticated digital, but is very user friendly and an easy carry, capable enough and less fiddling than a cellphone.
